To do this it is essential to pass through the Bur Dubai district, where you can visit the many city souks: for example there is the Gold Souk, the spice souk and the fabric souk. And then there is the historic district of Al Fahidi, entirely renovated respecting its original appearance: a real journey through time to rediscover traditional Dubai.
However, Dubai is not only traditional and typical: there is also a futuristic soul which is reflected in attractions such as Sailing, Atlantis the Palm, Ain Dubai, Dubai Marina, the Museum of the Future and much more.

𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐚: Al Fahidi Historic District
Al Fahidi St, Souk Al Kabeer, Bur DubaiDiscover what life was like in Old Dubai in the mid-19th century in the historic neighborhood of Al Fahidi. Located along Dubai Creek, this neighborhood is considered a crucial place for cultural heritage conservation and still features many of the original structures. The traditional wind towers, built of stone, teak, plaster, palm wood and sandalwood, represent only a small part of Al Fahidi's history. Every alley, every curve and every tower tells of what life was like before the union of the seven Emirates.

The bustling Dubai Creek has been the city's vital hub for generations as a favorite spot for its early inhabitants, home to the first port and thriving pearl-gathering business. Today, it is still a place full of life and continues to attract visitors all year round. For just AED 1 (around 25 Euro cents), you can board one of the numerous traditional boats known as the abra and cross the creek that separates Bur Dubai from Deira, the center of the city of Dubai. You will thus live one of the cheapest and at the same time authentic experiences offered by the city.

From the waters that extend across 30 acres of Burj Lake, at the foot of the Dubai Mall, powerful jets of water emerge and are released strategically over an area that could contain two football pitches. The fountain releases over 83,000 liters of water into the air at a time, reaching 140 meters in height.

Museum of the Future: Museum of the Future
