Introduction

Although still not very touristy, Fujairah is an Emirate full of surprises and exotic treasures. Ancient peoples lived and traded in this territory already four thousand years ago, and even today there are archaeological finds that tell its story.
Inside there are fortresses and an ancient mosque with a sober and particular appearance. But the real jewels of Fujaira are the Wadis, dry rivers that offer a bewitching view and which look like the fabulous sets of some adventure film produced in Hollywood. Furthermore, inside they are home to many animal species including amphibians, reptiles and birds.

Itinerary
𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐚: Fujairah Museum
Just a little south of the Fort is this museum which has an excellent collection of artefacts, dating back to the Early Bronze Age, which were unearthed during archaeological excavations at Qidfa and Bithnah. Objects on display include weapons, painted pottery, carved soapstone vases and pre-Islamic silver coins. One of the museum's prized pieces, discovered in Qidfa, is a bowl made of ostrich eggs that dates back 2,200 years. There is also an interesting ethnographic section, with displays of daily life and craft work.
Duration: 1 hour
𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐚: Fujairah Fort
Built in 1670, Fujairah Fort was severely damaged by a British attack in the early 20th century. Considered the oldest fort in the United Arab Emirates, it previously served as both a defensive building and a home for the ruling family. For many centuries it was the only stone structure along the town's coast. The construction has three main sections, several halls, a square tower and two round ones.
In recent years, it has been completely restored and brought back to its former glory. The area surrounding the fort has become an archaeological site. Here you will see restored old houses, reviews of traditional life and an explanation of the Al Yazrah irrigation system that was used by farmers in their fields.
Duration: 45 minutes
Visit: Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – Fujairah
The Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Fujairah is the second largest mosque in the United Arab Emirates after that of Abu Dhabi. Adorned with minarets and sixty-four domes, this granite and marble religious structure can accommodate over 28,000 worshippers. It cannot be visited by non-Muslims, but inside there is a mix of different Ottoman and Arabic styles with modern touches. This huge complex was built in just 600 days and bears the name of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
Duration: 20 minutes
𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐚: Al Bidya Mosque
The Al Bidya mosque represents the oldest mosque in the United Arab Emirates and is among the most important places and main attractions of the emirate of Fujairah. The mosque takes its name from the city in which it is located, Al Bidya. This mosque is also known as “Ottoman Mosque”. The date of its construction is uncertain, it is estimated to date back approximately to the fifteenth century.

Go to: Khor Fakkan Beach
Khor Fakkan is a city located on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates, in the Sharjah governorate. It is located approximately 20 km north of Fujairah and approximately 100 km south of Ras al-Khaimah. The city is famous for its bay, which offers crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. Khor Fakkan is also a popular tourist destination for water sports, such as swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing and fishing. The city also features attractions such as the Khor Fakkan museum, the fish market and the impressive Khor Fakkan fort, built in 1624.
